Fabric enhancement and value-added finishing
We conduct numerous processes to further optimize the performance of our textiles. Specifically, following a meticulous finishing process that includes washing and purging to ensure hygiene. Furthermore, the fabric may undergo additional treatments upon request.
These treatments are engineered to meet every specific desire of the clientele, guaranteeing that the final product is perfectly suited to our clients’ needs in terms of both functionality and aesthetics.
Among the most utilized treatments Tessilnova Lombarda offers:
- GREENFIRST: a natural treatment based on essential oil extracts of lemon, lavender, and eucalyptus, providing high acaricidal (anti-dust mite) efficacy.
- ANTIBEDBUGS: a preventive and complementary solution in the control of bed bugs.
- EFLON WATER-REPELLENT: protects the fabric against water and oil, preventing penetration via a beading effect. Liquid droplets slide off the fabric like pearls, leaving it dry and clean.
- SOIL RELEASE: makes the fabric less prone to absorbing dirt and facilitates its removal in water, thereby improving cleaning performance.
- FLAME RETARDANT (fireproofinge): reduces flammability and slows down flame spread in the event of a fire.
- SILVER IONS: an antibacterial and disinfectant treatment possessing a broad-spectrum germicidal action.
- ALOE VERA: imparts a fresh, fruity, and natural fragrance to the fabric. The benefits of this essence promote relaxation and sleep, also offering antibacterial properties.
- COOL: treatments designed to enhance comfort and body thermoregulation, providing feelings of freshness and dryness.”
Calendering
We distinguish ourselves through our meticulous fabric finishing procedure, specifically by incorporating a calendering machine into our production process.
This operational sequence makes the fabric smoother, glossier and at the same time with a higher degree of compactness. Such features are achieved by using heated rollers that apply pressure to the textile, effectively modifying its appearance and texture.
This process is a highly effective method for obtaining a high-quality product with a refined, elegant look.
Lamination
Lamination is the process that consists in joining two fabrics made from different materials, specifically in our case, jacquard fabric with nonwoven fabric (TNT). Through this bonding process, Tessilnova Lombarda can engineer textiles with unique characteristics, successfully combining aesthetic requirements with functionality.
